In the last few years, many organizations have had to face numerous security issues due to the exponential proliferation of IP-enabled devices. Endpoint devices often leave the network perimeter and come back compromised or uncompliant, especially because employees need to access network data anytime and anywhere. With sophisticated cyber-attacks and the use of IoT, BYOD, and mobility on the rise, network exposure to data breaches has become very common. Organizations need solutions that provide visibility and manageability, while also reducing data exposure and helping them meet regulatory compliance requirements. Organizations lacking visibility and control over endpoint access authorization and continuous compliance incur significantly higher risk profiles. In order to reduce this risk, companies are challenged with finding solutions that are both technically sound, and do not incur implementation penalties that negatively impact operations.

Joint Solution: SCS (Secure Compliance Solution)

PFU, a Fujitsu company, and provider of network access control and security technology and OPSWAT, provider of solutions to secure and manage IT infrastructure, offer a joint solution to give greater protection against cyber threats. PFU’s iNetSec Smart Finder network appliance and OPSWAT’s endpoint posture assessment tool, Metadefender Endpoint Management (MEM), provide IT admins with full visibility of all network-connected devices at any point in time. This minimizes their exposure to a potential breach while helping to keep their systems and network in compliance with both internal policies and industry requirements.

Key Takeaways

  • Device Visibility and Compliance: iNetSec SCS provides visibility and granular classification of all network devices and their application usage in addition to controlling their network access. Device compliance is checked by Metadefender Endpoint Management against 11 configurable compliance categories before network access is granted.
  • Advanced Malware Protection: Continuous monitoring for endpoint infections by Metadefender Endpoint, in conjunction with the iNetSec network behavior traffic analysis, ensures known and unknown threats are automatically blocked, preventing the spread of infections and APT attack-driven exfiltration.
  • Device Blocking Policy Enforcement: iNetSec endpoint policies check corporate devices to make sure Metadefender Endpoint is installed, which reports health assessments, device identification and VLAN-based network access control policies to automatically prevent unwanted actors from using network connections.
